THE HISTORY OF MILLION DOLLAR MANIA

Million Dollar Mania first ran in 2004 at Goodyear Memorial Scout Reserve in Orangeville, Ontario at the end of June. All the events were based around making money including a stock market with fictional companies that would go up and down throughout the weekend. The dance was held outdoors on a starry night. As well as many other events where the participants earn money to bid on fabulous prizes in the blind auction Sunday morning.

Million Dollar Mania ran again in 2005 at the same location. Some of the more popular events remained and new events emerged. The dance however moved to a local school in Orangeville.

Million Dollar Mania 2006 was a medieval theme with many events including archery, jousting, and fencing.

The 4th year was Pirate themed. The dance was once again outdoors. There were events such as Stop Blowing Holes in My Ship and Where Has The Rum Gone. Money continued to be earned and the blind auction was once again held.
